    In the Dynamic Subdivision section of this video. After hitting DSDiv and clicking Make Boolean Mesh, I get one whole polygroup instead of several different ones. Anyone know what might be going on?

    On the dial, it shows the button names for you when moused over, but it doesn't do that for me. Do you know if there is a setting for this? There is no mention of it in zbrush docs and the two posts about it in zbrushcentral have not been answered.

      Not by default, but hold down the Ctrl + Alt key and Left Mouse click any of the Visibility Sets (V1, V2, etc...) to enter hotkey mode, then just do your desired key combo ("Ctrl + Alt 4" for example). Go to Preferences > Hotkeys > Store to lock them in so next time you start up ZBrush they're still there!

    When I try to use Projection Master, it seems to be working, right up until I activate "Pickup Now". Then, it returns to edit mode but none of the changes made while in 2.5D mode apply; it's exactly as though I hadn't done anything, the same state as it was in when I selected "Drop Now". I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, or what step I'm missing, or what have you. My model is a 48M polygon 3D scan in Polypaint mode. I imported it from a 1M poly OBJ with a texture, then subdivided it as far as I could go and baked the texture into vertex colours. I need to be able to do stuff like use the Cloner brush, but it just does nothing for some reason...

      Absolutely, same with the "side" menu areas (where your brush / stroke / alpha palettes are on the left, and the bpr / perspective / transparent on the right) - hold down ctrl + left mouse drag to "roll" those areas!

      @@mikoajbien849 for sure! one point of clarification about the top menu scrolling - the menu with the menu names (alpha, brush, color, etc...) isn't scrollable, but if you have a ton of custom menus (or a low resolution monitor), it should end up with 2 rows of named menus. However, just below that, where Edit, Draw, Zadd / Focal Shift / etc... are, you should be able to ctrl + left mouse button drag that area

    I am sad. My zbrush file looks very low res in my viewport and I can’t seem to get my goz to work properly now. What if you don’t have poly paint like you did in your one video and want to use the skin from cc4 but still want subdivision levels from zbrush.

    so how about just a the curve functionality where you can do straight lines.....but without the angled selection just a hard brush? Seems like it hsould be the most basic behaviour of that tool.

    Is this part of Face tools or is it in the base CC4 ? I bought CC4 and Face Tools which did cost double, because I thought all the face stuff wasn't in the base program. But I wonder if Face tools isn't just for expression wrinkles... It's not super clear on their store page honestly.

      @@Texelion3Dprints the techniques covered in this video have nothing to do with facetools, just base CC functionality. However, to your point, while facetools is for creating custom expression wrinkles, you can use it to update base shapes, but for the most granular control, you're better served using the techniques in this video for shapes, and facetools for expression wrinkles (my opinion)

      @@MichaelPavlovich Ok so I really bought facetools for nothing then T_T. I make mostly styilized characters for printing, I don't need wrinkles and realisitc details like that. 200 euros down the drain. Well maybe it'll be useful in the future.

      @@Texelion3Dprints Face Tools is decent for doing bulk shape editing, in that with a dozen expressions you can update hundreds of shapes, so in that sense it's still a time saver (you can just go back in and tweak individual shapes using this video), so it's still a time saver even if you're not using it for expression wrinkles. Eventually there might be a way to transfer expression wrinkles back to ZBrush as a detail layer, which would be useful for 3D printing, plus once you're at the point with your character that it's fully animatable and expressive, heck. There's endless things you can do with that file outside of 3D printing, might come in handy for marketing or ancillary stuff!

      @@DavidOx11 in the stroke palette (under the brush palette along the left side of tour screen), turn on the square button in there (and if you want it to drag out from the center, turn center on)

    My diffuse map from Z is the wrong size for CC4 so what size is the CC4 diffuse map Ive tried em all still cant find it

    Hi Mike. When you send your character from CC4 to Zbrush you can directly start subdividing and sculpting it. But mine has a layer by default ( and textures applied to vertex color apprently ). Should I sculpt on that default layer ? Or create a new one ? Will new layers be taken into account when I send the model back to CC4 ?

      I'm not certain this is it, but just in case, this video was created before GoZ plus was rolled out - I personally toggle off GoZ plus functionality when sending my mesh over for this type of workflow: ua-cam.com/video/bnHz1U64lco/v-deo.html If it still insists on sending over a detail layer and a texture map (or some equivalent), I usually bake details down to the base mesh, or delete it entirely, and transfer the texture to polypaint, as seen in this video: ua-cam.com/video/5pfS4L32fvY/v-deo.htmlsi=Pni6ZNn1z9bRj0_g&t=443

      ​@@MichaelPavlovich Ah yes that's it, GoZ Plus seems to have some problems, I checked their forums. I'll keep fiddling with it and see if I can actually integrate it into my pipeline. Now I have a problem with the skeleton not updating to match the new proportions... I hope I didn't waste 400 euros on this XD.

      @@Texelion3Dprints fwiw, it took me a handful of tries (...ok dozens) to get to where I was able to roll with all the software punches - clearing cache files, saving CC and ZB project files for each phase in case I wanted / needed to backtrack to a clean state, and/or using the morph history brush to get me out of some tricky situations I found myself in (mostly my fault). Hang in there, once you've made a few, soup to nuts, is when it (hopefully) all starts falling into place 🤞

      @@MichaelPavlovich Yeah it's extremely finicky and the cache seems to get corrupted on a regular basis. After a few hours I kinda managed to make it work, but after 2 or 3 exports the body stops being updated in Zbrush. The eyes/eyelashes/etc are updated though. It's really weird. You may have to make a video about troubleshooting all the issues you had ^^. Because with your tutorials it seems easy, everything works.
